The first Pinkpop Festival took place in 1970. This makes the festival the longest running un-interrupted annual open air popfestival in Europe (this fact owed the festival a place in the Guinness Book of Records).
The famous rock festival has since 1988 taken place on the splendid festival site of MEGALAND in Landgraaf. The community of Landgraaf is in the
south of the Netherlands and situtated in the county of Limburg, 135 miles
from Amsterdam. The music is performed on three stages on the site, which
also include a vast festival market as well as a huge camping area
